Susan Chavez

Susan (they/them) is a 2021 SFA Steering Committee veteran. After attending last year’s Encuentro in Immokalee, their passion for the farmworker movement was reignited. Currently residing in San Diego, Susan hopes to use that inspiration to generate interest in the Bay Area for a Fair Food Chapter. As an alumna of San Francisco State University’s Latina/o Studies Department, Susan recognizes that the fight for equity and justice is far from over. They are excited to rejoin the Steering Committee and continue amplifying marginalized voices.
