Giselle Ramirez-Garcia
Giselle graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) with a Bachelor's in Political Science and Minors in Peace and Social Justice and Interdisciplinary Studies. Being from Immokalee herself and from farmworker parents, she has long understood the importance of advocacy and has been part of the movement for farmworker human rights. Giselle served as the president of FGCU's Student/Farmworker Alliance chapter for two years where she organized the campus and surrounding community around the Campaign for Fair Food to advocate for farmworker justice. She has been involved in work to address issues affecting the Hispanic community, such as immigration, labor rights, and socioeconomic disparities. Now she is working as a Campaign Coordinator and SFA National Co-Coordinator with the CIW.
